Steinbeis EU-VRi at ECSCI 2nd workshop on critical infrastructure protection |

This workshop will present the different approaches on integrated cyber and physical security in different industrial sectors, such as energy, transport, drinking and waste water, health, digital infrastructure, banking and financial market, space and public administration . The peculiarities of critical infrastructure protection in each one of these sectors will be discussed and addressed by the different projects of the ECSCI cluster that will present their outcomes, discussing the technical, ethical and societal aspects and the underlying technologies.

Internationale Zusammenarbeit für Innovatives Life-Long-Learning |

Steinbeis EU-VRi, HRV.SWISS und NOOVLE International bündeln ihre Kräfte, um ein innovatives Modell des lebenslangen Lernens vorzuschlagen
Bündelung der Kräfte mit dem Ziel, die Bildungszusammenarbeit zu fördern, um eine auf Unternehmen und Unternehmen zugeschnittene Weiterbildung insbesondere im Hinblick auf die Digitalisierung der Wirtschaft zu fördern: Dies ist das Ziel der von Steinbeis EU-VRi (dem Steinbeis EU-VRi European Risk and Resilience Institute der Steinbeis-Hochschule), HRV.SWISS und NOOVLE International unterzeichneten Vereinbarung. Die drei Partner werden spezielle Schulungen für Unternehmen entwickeln, die deren Personal für den zukünftigen Bedarf umschulen müssen.
EU-VRi, ein führendes Unternehmen auf dem Gebiet der kritischen Infrastruktur, wird entsprechende Kurse weiterführende Lehrpläne anbieten und durchführen. Laut Professor Jovanović, dem CEO von EU-VRi, "steht diese Wahl im Einklang mit der Mission von EU-VRi, die durch kontinuierliche Weiterbildung und Aktualisierung von Fachkenntnissen von Angestellten in o.g. Unternehmen und Organisationen anbietet –vor allem im deutschsprachigen Raum".
Alberto Ciardelli, Lead Trainer, Axelos SME (Subject Matter Expert) und Berater der „NOOVLE SPA società Benefit“, ein Promoter der Initiative HRV.SWISS, im Kanton Tessin, das berechtigt ist, Schulungen und entsprechende Zertifizierungen anzubieten (ATO: Accredited Training Organization), sagt: „Ausbildung ist heute mehr denn je ein wesentlicher Faktor in regionalen Wettbewerbsstrategien. Die Besonderheit dieser Partnerschaft zwischen internationalen Instituten besteht darin, den Wert der angebotenen Studiengänge und der White Papers, die aus den Erfahrungen der besten Abschlussarbeiten der Studenten gewonnen wurden, zu fördern und die von den Teilnehmern erworbenen Fähigkeiten zu garantieren".

Steinbeis EU-VRi, HRV.SWISS and NOOVLE International: join forces to propose an innovative model of Life-Long Learning
Steinbeis EU-VRi together with HRV Swiss and Noovle International signed a strategic collaboration agreement on innovative lifelong learning.
The goal of the initiative is to promote educational collaboration through continuous training courses in the area of business digitalization tailored to the requirements of technology-driven companies and businesses. Under the agreement, the partners will develop dedicated training courses for companies that require retraining their internal staff for future needs and challenges across business functions.
Steinbeis EU-VRi, a leader in supporting the country's critical infrastructure, will develop and provide respective courses and graduate advanced curriculum degrees. According to professor Jovanović, the CEO of EU-VRi "this choice is in line with the mission of EU-VRi, which, through continuous training, provides the professional updating of the technical skills in critical infrastructure-related companies and organizations especially those active in the German-speaking countries".

Horizon Europe: The new EU framework program for Research and Innovation |

EU institutions reach a political agreement on Horizon Europe on 11 December 2020 with a budget of €100 billion foreseen from 2021 to 2027.
The new Horizon Europe program follows on from the current Horizon 2020 program and aims to promote research on important societal issues such as health, the environment and traffic.
Horizon Europe will incorporate research and innovation missions to increase the effectiveness of funding by pursuing clearly defined targets. Leveraging a 3-pillar structure, Horizon Europe imbibes Excellent Science, Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness, and Innovative Europe with a horizontal layer for widening participation and strengthening the European Research Area (ERA).
With Health, Civil Security for Society, Digital Industry and Space, Climate, Energy and Sustainability at the core of Horizon Europe program, Steinbeis R-Tech and EU-VRi along with its partner network will be at the frontier of knowledge in the fields of applied AI, Sustainability, Risks & Resilience (advanced material, infrastructure), Life-cycle (cost) analysis (LCA).
